A creative dumping ground for issues that interest me personally and professionally, with the thought they may interest you too. Issues such as the business of design, the design of business, the design of objects, design strategy, creative direction, innovation, creativity, thought leadership, observations, as well as recommendations, mid-century modern decorative arts and architecture, and the state of my thinking (and currently the state of my heart).

Are You Okay?

Something's on my mind, sleep won't make it right.
Are you ok? Can we talk tonight?
Wouldn't you agree we're on separate pages?
And I care too much to be ok with this.

Can you look me in the eye, tell me everything's alright?
Stay awake until we find a resolution.

This might hurt a bit, hearts were made to feel.
Is it worth it, to finally be real?

Can you look me in the eye, tell me everything's alright?
Stay awake until we find a resolution. (2x)

We were meant for more than this, to have a true relationship.
We were meant for so much more than this.

Can you look me in the eye, tell me everything's alright?
Stay awake until we find a resolution.
So just look me in the eye, tell me everything's alright?
Stay awake until we find a resolution.

Barry, Rachel sang at St. Paul in East Lansing, summer of '09. Her voice is transcendent and this is a beautiful song. Thanks for sharing it.

Hi S.

I have a small credit at the bottom reflecting her relation to your pastor. You and dad introduced me to her and I have since bought her CD. I bet I have spent more time at my blog than anyone since I am posting so many songs that I want to replay and pray upon. This particular one is moving in my circumstances.
